It’s a good idea to carry a basic toolkit and spare parts for minor repairs. Familiarize yourself with how to navigate common issues, like flat tires, for instance. When in doubt, call in the experts—like the service team at Albany RV.
10. How do I know if a repair is urgent or can wait?
If you have an issue that poses a safety hazard, consider it an urgent need. For example, brake failure, electrical issues, or gas leaks require immediate attention. If the need is related more to comfort and convenience—think cosmetic damage or a malfunctioning appliance—it can probably wait.

Yes, fast special orders are a specialty of ours. Though we have a wide selection of high-quality RV parts and hard-to-find accessories in house, we’ll go the extra mile if we don’t have what you need already in stock. Plus, since we work with multiple suppliers, we can get your specialty RV parts in as quickly as possible—usually within three days.
13. How do I prepare my RV for the summer season?
It’s a good idea to clean both the interior and exterior of your vehicle. You should also inspect and test the AC unit to ensure it’s running smoothly. Sanitize the water system and test all appliances, electrical systems, and tire pressure and tread depth. Then you should be ready to hit the open road and let the summer adventures begin!
14. How do I winterize my RV?
Begin by draining and flushing the water system. Add RV antifreeze to the plumbing. Disconnect and store batteries. Cover and seal vents and windows. If possible, store your RV in a dry, covered area for the duration of the winter season.
15. Can Albany RV perform seasonal prep for me?
Yes, we provide both winterization and de-winterization services. We can also get you ready for your road trip adventures with our trip prep inspection. You’ll have peace of mind knowing everything is in working order before you hit the road.
